The BBC will broadcast more than 450 hours of live action from next month's Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. The Games, which run from Friday 6 to Thursday 22 February, are the most accessible to UK audiences for two decades.

BBC Radio 1 crowned Skye Newman as its Sound Of 2026 winner at the start of the month. It follows a turnaround for UK talent at home and abroad in the past year, with a new generation of stars including Lola Young and Olivia Dean building on the global impact of Myles Smith and Charli XCX in 2024.

The new shows will appear on YouTube first, before later landing on the BBC's iPlayer and Sounds platforms.
