ALAMO, Calif. (KGO) -- A judge has made her ruling in an unusual battle between an East Bay father and tech giant Facebook, all over a defective virtual reality headset sold by Facebook's Oculus VR.

Oculus was a virtual reality company founded by Palmer Luckey. It was acquired by Facebook, now known as Meta, for $2 billion in cash and stock. Virtual reality has been a major initiative for Meta.
