More than 8,000 flights have been canceled across the U.S. as a major storm expected to wreak havoc across much of the country bears down

A sever winter storm that could affect more than 200 million Americans has brought heavy snow, and freezing temperatures.

Up to two feet of snow is expected in the Northeast, while the biggest concern for the South is accumulating ice.
