HALCYON HOTEL HISTORY Hoteliers Salem & Emily Graham broke ground on their Halcyon Hotel March 14, 1904 and opened for business in 1906. Located at the corner of 12th Street (now named Flagler Street) and 2nd Avenue, it’s grandness was second only to Henry Flagler’s nearby Royal Palm Hotel. The photos show its history from construction in 1904 to its demolition in 1938 when it was replaced by the Alfred I.
