2 different bat paths here! The one on the left gets on plane sooner with the pitch, and uses the lower half to turn the barrel. The one on the right, is “pushy,” “handsy” and get on plane later with the pitch. The sooner and longer the barrel is on plane with the pitch the more room for error the hitter has (early, on time, or late).
