The heart of the Hunter sport is a horses’ performance over jumps, but each Hunter section at a horse show will include an Under Saddle class — sometimes informally called “the hack.” Entrants are judged on their horses’ movement, manners and performance on the flat: according to the @usequestrian Hunter rulebook, “horses should be obedient, alert, responsive and move freely” in the Under Saddle. | United States Hunter Jumper Association - USHJA
