The Rebel first entered the mid size sedan market in 1957 originally under the Rambler nameplate. The Rebel was built at the Kenosha, Wisconsin plant until 1960. Just a 4 year production span before the name would reappear in 1965. As the Rambler name was dropped in 1967, American Motors Corporation or AMC, took on the Rebel marquee and reintroduced it to the mid s
