Today marks the start of Red Squirrel Awareness Week, which is dedicated to increasing awareness of and action for UK red squirrels and their conservation. We will be posting about the red squirrels on Brownsea Island regularly throughout this special week. October is a great time to see the squirrels here, as they forage for nuts and seeds to store for the winter.
