Director of the Police Complaints Authority, David West, is reminding the public that it is not an offence to record police officers while they are performing their duties. He was responding to a report from Justice Frank Seepersad, who encouraged members of the public to use their cellphones to document all interactions with police, whether during routine engagements or in situations where officers may be breaching the law.
